Whether you’re working outside, cleaning the house, or just need a way to play music without the need for headphones, a Bluetooth radio can make all the difference. Being able to wirelessly connect an external device and play music from it has become a modern luxury, often making a person question what they ever did before this technology was available. If you are looking for a Bluetooth radio with speakers, be sure to check out this list of some of the best available on the market today.
Milwaukee 2951-20 M12 – Best Overall
One of the absolute best Bluetooth radios that have built-in speakers is the Milwaukee M12. This is a product that is specifically designed for high performance on a job site, though it can easily be used at home.
This small Bluetooth radio has a tweeter as well as a full-range speaker, ultimately providing crisp and balanced sound quality. The M12 even offers EQ adjustments to allow you to dial in the best sounding tone for the music you are listening to.
The M12 has full radio capacity with the ability to tune into both AM and FM stations. This product also offers the capability to program up to 10 different preset radio stations so you can listen to your favorite channels with ease.
Devices can be easily connected to the radio as the M12 has Bluetooth Version 4.2. The M12 has a connectivity range of about 20 feet, allowing you the freedom to move where you need without the worry of losing the connection between devices.
Devices can also be connected via a USB port in the back of the radio. Another interesting feature is that the radio can play songs that are on a USB flash drive when the drive is inserted into the USB port.
One of the most attractive features of the M12 is the fact that it is not only very portable but is designed to be able to hang the radio from multiple locations on the device. A handle allows the radio to be hung by pass-through hanging, and a self-centering hole in the back of the radio allows it to be hung from a nail or hook.
This Bluetooth radio is also extremely durable. It has an IP54-rated debris and water-resistant design. For those that are on the job, the M12 has a 12V DC port with which you can charge all of your 12V batteries needed for various power tools.
The M12 runs on a CP2.0 REDLITHIUM battery, which is charged via a USB 2.1A output. A full charge will grant nearly 10 hours of constant use.
Overall, while the M12 may be a bit overkill for the at-home user, especially with the ability to charge 12V power tool batteries, it is hard to find a better Bluetooth radio that packs in the same amount of value per cost. Not only will the M12 sufficiently meet any volume requirements, but it will also allow you to use the radio how you want.
