BBC Radio 1Xtra is an urban music station that has been on the air since 2002.
It’s only broadcast on digital radio, digital TV and the internet, so you won’t be able to find it on an AM/FM radio.
On DAB it uses the BBC National DAB multiplex, which broadcasts on the frequency 12B (225.648 MHz).
However, you don’t need to know this information to find it on a DAB radio as DAB radios simply list the stations rather than requiring you to tune into a frequency.

If your car only has an AM/FM radio, you won’t be able to listen to Radio 1Xtra unless you use a DAB car radio adapter or upgrade your car radio to DAB.
